The Shipping Associate is responsible for all shipping department duties including preparing orders for shipment, assembling boxes and maintaining shipping supplies. Shipping procedures and standard/customer packing requirements will be followed.

Package, mark and label all items according to procedures and customer requirements
Complete shipping transactions via ERP system (Manfact) and maintain documentation
Create shipping labels using UPS and Fedex software
Learn and demonstrate proper ESD board handling techniques and packaging requirements
Keep work area stocked and in order
Maintain all shipping supplies and work with buyers to order any replacement supplies


The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
1-3 years’ relevant work experience


Must have strong computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to recognize and properly classify, package and label shipments
Ability to understand and follow the standard operating procedures
Ability to prioritize and plan work activities
Prior experience entering transactions into a ERP system is a plus
Prior experience working in an ITAR environment is a plus


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to walk or stand for prolonged periods. The position requires bending, stooping, reaching up and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee may be required to wear protective clothing such as heel straps and a lab coat.  The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.  All of the work will be performed indoors.
