Design and prepare clear, complete and accurate production documentation for printed circuit boards (PCBs). This candidate will be in a data-prep role for 6-8 months supporting the team before moving into design.

  • Review and analyze electrical design schematics and supporting documents to plan layout of PCB components and printed circuitry
  • Perform and understand schematics capture, create and troubleshoot net list and routing rules from customer provided information packages about the design
  • Confer with engineers to resolve design details and problems
  • Perform placement and routing of PCBs for engineering review using Mentor PADS, Cadence Allegro, Altium and Mentor Expedition
  • Prepare PCB routing layout for engineering review
  • Prepare PCB manufacturing data for use in PCB fabrication
  • Generate accurate fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and manufacturing artwork using Valor and Blueprint PCB


The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Electronics, Computer Science or Engineering) is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • 2-5 years of related experience and/or training
  • Previous background in manufacturing is a plus


  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, as well as listening skills
  • Ability to collaborate with a team
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical part and will be required to wear protective clothing such as heel straps and a lab coat on occasion.  The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
