Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the SMT Operator will be responsible for performing solder paste stencil printing, operation of the reflow oven, identifying surface mount components, and loading machines.

Responsibilities

• Load machine programs and make needed adjustments to improve solder paste print and or component placement on related equipment
• Ability to read and understand assembly bill of materials (BOM)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Perform basic machine troubleshooting
• Able to operate equipment efficiently as measured by daily production requirements
• Verify and meet acceptable quality standards
• May involve some debug and root cause corrective action
• Any other job-related duties and/or projects that may be assigned.

Skills, Experience and Education

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Machine operating experience
• Knowledge/background in IPC-A-610 standard
• IPC Certification an asset
• Knowledge of Panasonic Pick & Place Machine and EKRA Paste Printer
