Manufacturing Engineer
This position requires an individual with solid manufacturing skills that will strive for continuous improvement of existing processes. In this position you will:
� Design, develop, document and test electronic hardware for sustaining engineering activities of both hardware and firmware.
�Identify and procure replacement parts for obsolete components.
�Identify, plan and execute projects or modifications to current manufacturing procedures and processes to achieve cost, yield, reliability and/or cycle time improvements. This includes coordination with outside vendors and contractors.
�Plans and performs process qualifications and validations of assembly and test equipment as well as manufactured products.
�Interface with R&D, Engineering and Quality personnel to ensure smooth transition and proper implementation of new processes, procedures, products, tools and equipment.
�Generate and/or provide input to process system specifications, reports, manuals, validation protocols, procedures and component specifications.
Skills/ Requirements
�BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering with an emphasis on Electrical Engineering
�Minimum of three years of experience, preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment
�Candidate must have experience managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously
�Be able to perform electrical design using Orcad Capture and layout tools, and have design experience with programmable logic devices
�Ability to rework circuit boards (analog, digital, embedded microprocessor)
�Experience finding and procuring replacement parts for obsolete components
�Experience with the implementation of automated equipment and processes
�Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing (5S, poka yoke, VSM) preferred
�Have knowledge or experience in GMP/QSR regulations
