Job Description: |
Winslow Automation, Inc. (aka Six Sigma), an industry leader in electronic component interconnect technology & related test and failure analysis services, is seeking a high energy, creative, hands-on electro-mechanical engineer to join our team.
-
This individual will be responsible for providing equipment mechanization, upgrades, and maintenance support for the company’s subcontract services and product manufacturing divisions.
- This position requires handling of product or information which is subject to ITAR regulations. Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Identify repetitive equipment failures or inefficiencies.
-
- Design, build, assemble, and implement upgrades to fixturing, tooling, mechanization, and production automation equipment for greater efficiency and reliability.

- Identify, install, and transfer to production of new production and facilities equipment (for example bar-coding systems).
-
- Update or generate equipment maintenance & operation work instructions.
-
- Train technicians and operators on equipment operation and maintenance.
-
- Provide technical support, trouble-shooting, and back-up to facilities and equipment maintenance team on down-time maintenance and PMs.

- Perform other duties related to this position as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:
-
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or equiv.
-
Minimum of 5 years in related field preferred.

- Substantial ‘hands on’ experience repairing, designing, and assembling electro-mechanical assemblies, robotics, or mechanized equipment.

- Logical & methodical trouble-shooting skills.
-
- Proficient in mechanical design & drafting skills.
-
- Skilled in electronic/electrical design and reading electrical schematics.
-
- Proficient with tools (hand, measuring, power, CNC, Lathe, Drill press).
-
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and training skills.
-
- Proficient in MS Windows & MS Office Suite; 35 WPM.
-
- Proficient in AutoCAD a plus.
