Surface Mount Technician

We are currently recruiting for Surface mount Technicians for our client, based in a town called Clay Cross, which is close to Chesterfield in Derbyshire.

The main purpose of the role is the programming and operating of surface mount equipment to planned production schedules  and timescales

Duties include -

The daily setting and operating of surface mount equipment and machinery to meet targets and deadlines

use of computer software for programming and operation of surface mount machinery

Using paste machine and re-flow ovens

Inspection of surface mount assemblies as they go through the line and rectification of any fauults found

Daily upkeep of surface mount component stoc, checking new stock in, labelling, boxing and storing.  Reporting any non-conforming parts to the materials and engineering departments

Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard in an accurate and timely fashion

Carry out preventative maintenance to surface mount equipment and machinery, adhering to procedures and maintenance plans
