Manufacturing Automation, Inc. was founded in 1993 by Lee Anderson, President and chief design engineer for the company. Manufacturing Automation, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets automated smt assembly equipment entirely from its Colorado Springs facility. Presently the main product line is the Placemax Pick and Place Smt Assembly Equipment for entry level through mid level production shops.
Placemax:
The Placemax 3000 tabletop pick and place machine is a low cost fully automatic smt assembly system. It can place smt components from 0402 through fine pitch, at rates upto 3500 pph.
A great deal of time and effort has been dedicated to producing pick and place assembly equipment that can compete with machines costing two to three times as much as the Placemax Pick and Place System.
