As a supplier of leading electronics manufacturing services since 1936, General Motors Components Holdings’ (GMCH) Kokomo Operations has a long and rich history. The site, located in Kokomo, Indiana, originally started designing and producing radios for General Motors vehicles. Throughout the 20th century, the Kokomo Operations site was responsible for driving the safety, fuel efficiency and reliability of the automobile through a variety of innovative products.
Today, Kokomo Operations employs over a thousand employees and occupies a facility with over two million square feet of manufacturing space. It continues to produce industry leading components including semiconductors, engine and transmission control modules, crash sensing and diagnostics modules, pressure sensors for engine management and occupant detection, body computer modules and power electronics modules for multiple industries.
