Access Series - Robotic Probing Stations Description:

Automation for Tracker Model 30, TrackerPXI and more

A Huntron Access Prober is used to automate the testing of printed circuits assemblies (PCA) that would otherwise have to be tested by hand. Adding Flying Probe technology your test procedure will significantly decrease test times therefore increasing productivity.

Access Probers are designed to accurately access test points on PCAs. The exceptional accuracy achieved by micro-stepping and linear encoding ensures reliable probing of the smallest surface mounted components. By using either the standard built-in test probe or a custom test probe, the Huntron Access Probers add flying probe technology to your new or existing equipment. The high-resolution color camera ensures correct probe placement and provides a clear view of the PCA under test.

Automate Test Processes that are Difficult to Perform by Hand

Huntron Access Probers allow for economical, automated testing of densely packed surface-mount and other devices on the most complex boards from the smallest to the largest systems.
The precision robotic movement lets you probe points on the newest exotic chips, such as PLCCs, SOICs, PGAs, SSOPs, QFPs and others, without any expensive fixturing or programming required.

Highlights

  • Select from single or dual head models
  • Exceptional accuracy for precise probing of PCAs
  • Durable design for many years of service
  • All models can be configured with a Huntron Tracker® Model 30 inside
  • Automate tests using other mainline test instruments with optional SDK packages

Choose the Prober Type That Meets Your Needs

Huntron currently manufactures three Access Prober platforms, the standard size single head Access Prober, the larger single head Access 2 Prober and the dual head Access DH Prober.

Access and Access 2 Flying Probe

These single head Probers are best suited for low volume testing where a single test probe to the PCA under test is sufficient. The Access and Access 2 Probers have a lower profile and can be placed on most standard size test benches. They can easily be connected to a Tracker Model 30, TrackerPXI or Huntron ProTrack. You can also order the Access or Access 2 Prober with the Tracker Model 30 built-in for an all-in-one test solution (the Access DH includes the Tracker Model 30 inside).
You can also develop your own custom Access or Access 2 test platform that connect to other mainline test instruments using Huntron Software Development Kits (SDK).

Access DH Flying Probe

The Access DH Prober is a dual head Robotic Prober that is best suited for low volume PCA testing where interfacing between two points is necessary. The Access DH stands in it's own cabinet with plenty of space underneath for a rack mounted PC and other test instrumentation. The open architecture design of the Access DH makes it possible for you to utilize many different test technologies where automated probing of the PCA under test makes sense.
