The sharpness of a photographic imaging system or of a component of the system (lens, film, image sensor, scanner, enlarging lens, etc.) is characterized by a parameter called Modulation Transfer Function (MTF), also known as spatial frequency response.

Fostec DCR II Light Source

150-watt regulated light source. Low voltage ripple is rated at only 1% peak to peak. The regulated power supply eliminates flicker dips and surges, providing a stable light output. The power supply regulates line voltage fluctuations of up to ±15% and the light generated will not vary more than ±.5%. A built in 9-pin connector can be accessed with an analog input (0 to 5 VDC) to control light intensity.
