Features of the analog inputs:

– The 8 analog inputs are not electrically isolated.

– Resolution in the PLC system: The measured values

are converted with a resolution of 12 bits, i.e. 11 bits

plus sign for voltage and 12 bits without sign for currents.

The ranges 0...5 V and ±5 V are converted with

10 bits plus sign.

– Analog signals are conducted in shielded cables (see

Fig. 2.2-5).

– The analog inputs can be used individually in a lot of

different operating modes (even as digital inputs).

The operationg modes are configurable.

– In order to make sure, that unused input channels have

a defined 0V level, they may be shorted to AGND.

In the following, some application examples are shown

for analog sensors.
