Does anyone have any experience using AIM NC298, or any new NC solder paste from AIM in general. I have no experience with AIM and would like to give them a try. Thanks in advance JD

We were using AIM WS485 SAC305 and AIM NC257 SAC305 and we had problems with voiding and AIM�s narrow process windows. Now we are using Indium3.2 and Indium8.9 with much better results.

We used AIM water Soluble Sn63/Pb37 and it tend to be very tacky.

I might be over simplifying this but what I understand is the AIM is a more economical version of the NXT and that AIM will replace the XP platform.

AIM contacted me the day after I posted this on SMTnet. I have still not heard anything back from my AIM rep.

We currently use and have used Aim W/S 483 for the past ten years. We have had great support from AIM. Paste Characteristics, wetting, slump, washing is all outstanding. Great activity, works well with NiPd and other lead frames.

Thanks a lot. Actually, you are our local rep for AIM. Do you offer any services such as coming down to RI to set up a profile or anything of that nature? We currently use AIM 256 and the wetting isnt as good as I would like to see. Thanks JD
