Recycling of Non-metallic Residue from Waste Printed Circuit Boards to Produce Interlocking Concrete Blocks

Technical Library | 2022-01-05 23:14:20.0

The process of copper recovery from waste printed circuit board has generated large amounts of non-metallic fraction (NMF) residue. In this research, the residue was recycled as a substitute for fine aggregates at 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% to produce interlocking concrete blocks. Properties of the interlocking concrete blocks produced in this study, such as density, water absorption, compressive strength, were firstly examined and the selected mixes were further evaluated for the heavy metal leachability.

High Precision Laser Cutting

Technical Library | 2024-06-14 21:38:09.0

This type of laser cutting is the most successful and effective practice to achieve quality clean edges and superior products. As opposed to more traditional methods (water jets, punches), laser cutting allows the material to be processed once with extraordinary accuracy and without any other interventions to get a finished piece. It also allows for less waste and is less time consuming, resulting in cleaner production and the ability to manufacture in greater quantities. No matter how complex or straightforward, we achieve the precise, fine cut, details your company needs.

Difference between Neutral and Acid Salt Spray Corrosion Test

Technical Library | 2019-12-13 00:39:29.0

Salt spray corrosion chamber can test the ability of material and its protective layer to resist salt mist corrosion, or compare the process quality of similar protective layers, at the same time; this equipment is suitable for parts, electronic components, protective layer of metal material and other industrial products. Salt spray test is divided into neutral and acid test. What is the difference between neutral and acid in salt spray test? First, the temperature applied in the test method is different: Neutral test: a. Laboratory:35°C ±1°C, b. Saturated air drums:47°C ±1°C Acid test: a. Laboratory:50°C ±1°C, b. Saturated air drums:63°C ±1°C Second, the production material is different, neutral test chamber adoptes the traditional PVC plates, acid test chamber asopts PP sheet, which is more high temperature resistance and suits strong acid test. Third. Different test methods satisfied Neutral salt spray chamber according to GB/T 2423.17-2008, GB/T 2423.18-2000, salt spray test method and GB/T 10125-1997, GB/T 10587-2006, GB10593.2-1990, GB/T 1765-1979, GB/T 1771-2007, GB/T 12967.388, GB/T 1705.8-2008, etc. In addition to the test methods specified in the national standard, acid salt spray chamber also needs to expand the standard setting such as IEC,MIL,DIN,ASTM,IS,CNS. Last, Comparison of neutral test solutions China: NaCI distilled water solution NaCI mass concentration (50 ±5) g ≤ l pH value 6.5 ≤ 7.2 United States: distilled water solution NaCI mass concentration 5% ±1% pH value 6.5 ≤ 7.2 Germany: NaCI distilled water solution NaCI mass concentration (50 ±5) g ≤ l pH value 6.5 ≤ 7.2 Japan: NaCI distilled water solution NaCI mass concentration 5% ±1% pH pH value 6.5 ~ 7.2 France: NaCI distilled water solution NaCI mass concentration 5% pH 6.5 ≤ 7.2 https://climatechambers.com/articles&latestnews/difference-between-neutral-and-acid-salt-spray-corrosion-test.html

Technical Library | 2015-08-18 17:48:53.0

Why Selectively Conformal Coat the Electronic Assembly? Printed circuit boards (PCBs) are employed in a variety of products and devices, and this means that it might be necessary for your PCBs to be moisture resistant. It is important to choose the right type of conformal coating so you need not worry about the durability of your product. Fortunately, there are several options available that can help, and you can even use selective conformal coating robots to provide proper application of the coating.

An Electrochemical Sensor for Determination of Sulfite (SO32-) in Water Based on Molybdenum Disulfide Flakes/Nafion Modified Electrode

Technical Library | 2022-01-19 18:15:45.0

The assay for monitoring the content of sulfite ions (SO32−) is essentially important because sulfite has some seriously toxic effects on both environment and human health. For this, a SO32- electrochemical sensor was fabricated utilizing molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and Nafion. The cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) showed that MoS2 had excellently catalytical activity for the redox of SO32-.

SELECT CONFORMAL COAT FORMULATION FOR PCB ENVIRONMENT

Technical Library | 2015-08-20 15:51:08.0

Temperature and Humidity on Selective Conformal Coating It is well known that selective conformal coating on printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies provides unparallel protection for PCB’s. Nevertheless, concentrated conditions of humidity, water, and high temperatures can have negative effects on the conformal coating itself causing it to fail and become inapt for its intended purpose. Taking this into consideration, it is prudent to choose the right type of conformal coating that best suits the application and environmental conditions under which an assembly is likely to undergo in use. The proper conformal coating will significantly reduce the likelihood of failure/rejection, saving both valuable time and money for any manufacturing process.

CHANGING THE RULES OF STENCIL DESIGN

Technical Library | 2023-05-22 16:42:56.0

Nano-coatings are applied to solder paste stencils with the intent of improving the solder paste printing process. Do they really make a noticeable improvement? The effect of Nano-coatings on solder paste print performance was investigated. Transfer efficiencies were studied across aperture sizes ranging from 0.30 to 0.80 area ratio. Also investigated were the effects of Nano-coatings on transfer efficiencies of tin-lead, lead-free, water soluble, no-clean, and type 3, 4, and 5 solder pastes. Solder paste print performance for each Nano-coating was summarized with respect to all of these variables.

Fill the Void II: An Investigation into Methods of Reducing Voiding

Technical Library | 2018-10-03 20:41:44.0

Voids in solder joints plague many electronics manufacturers. Do you have voids in your life? We have good news for you, there are many excellent ways to "Fill the Void." This paper is a continuation of previous work on voiding in which the following variables were studied: water soluble lead-free solder pastes, a variety of stencil designs, and reflow profiles. Quad Flat No-Lead (QFN) component thermal pads were used as the test vehicle. The voiding results were summarized and recommendations were made for reduction of voiding.

Creep Corrosion Of Electronic Assemblies In Harsh Environments

Technical Library | 2022-03-16 19:41:17.0

Creep corrosion occurs in electronics assemblies and it is reminiscent to electromigration but does not require electrical field to drive the reaction. Corrosive elements and moisture must be present for creep corrosion to occur. Sulfur is the most prominent element to cause creep corrosion in environments such as paper mills, rubber manufacturing, mining, cement manufacturing, waste water treatment etc., also including companies and locations nearby such industries. The main part of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) to be affected is the PCB surface finish. Especially immersion silver is prone to creep corrosion, but it sometimes occurs in NiPd (lead frames), and to a lesser extent in ENIG and OSP surface finishes. As the use of immersion silver is increasing as PCB surface finish and electronics are more and more used in harsh environments, creep corrosion is a growing risk. In this paper we will present the driving forces and mechanisms as well as suitable tests and mitigation strategies against creep corrosion
