Electronics Forum | Mon Jul 18 00:10:55 EDT 2005 | adlsmt

Price is a pretty big deal also. We used IIt pro frames for about 6 years but moved to QTS Wizard frames, they work pretty well, We have no issues with them not being "Tight" They work from all 4 axes and have "push down" bars as well to work in the

Need help on selecting the SMT equipment for small volume

I was told by Assembleon that a Topaz can not be fitted with a 54mm camera. Only the 45mm. The Emerald? or whatever the 4 spindle machine is called, is the only one with a 54MM camera. Is this not true? I am talking used Topaz, 1997 to 2000 models. P

Fuji Feeder Pitch

Electronics Forum | Fri Jul 29 09:45:04 EDT 2005 | aj

I do not think you can modify a 8*4 feeder to 8*2. Suppliers make a hell of a lot of money out of feeders so I would say they have that one covered. I think you will have to bite the bullet and buy 8*2 feeders. If you find out that you can modify

Changeover to Leadfree

AJ, The important thing to remember is that any product sold after this date must be lead-free. If your product is sold within weeks of manufacture, then you can wait until the last minute. If your product may sit for several months before being purc

Hello, We're experiencing about 4% loss of parts (primarily 0402 caps and resistors, few 0603s and 0805s), and the error codes are mostly 12040403 and 1CA0A009. The help manual on error codes is cryptic at best. Can anyone help me interpret these

Pick and Place Camera sees Red

You are having problems with the PEC (fid. recognition, etc.) camera, correct? Not that camera(s) on the base machine (2.6 mil, 4.0 mil, etc.). If it is the PEC camera you are talking about I don't know much but if it's one of the other cameras I m

Dry boards for leadfree reflow

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 15 02:51:45 EDT 2005 | Joris Groot Koerkamp

In our current process we don't need to dry our pcb's. We use FR4 HASL boards. For the leadfree process we want to use NickelGold plated boards. Do we have to dry these boards for the leadfree process or can we just seal them with silica gel?
