Help with odd smt stencil

Electronics Forum | Wed Dec 03 10:44:03 EST 2014 | kkay

We have a smt connector on side one of our pcb that overhangs through the board to the second side. We can't figure out how to print the second side with this part sticking out. Unfortunately we cannot run the second side first due to an LGA that has

DIMA smro 0406 is good machine or not for doing lead free reflow

The longer the oven, the better. You will have much more capabilities in creating the precise profiles the way you want them(with10-12 zone oven). I have worked with ovens from 2 to 12 zones and the difference is huge. In my opinion try to get a 10zo

Identify SMD IC

Electronics Forum | Mon Jan 12 14:54:58 EST 2015 | nkrcompany

Hi All, I would like to ask some help from you. It would be very important for me to identify a bad IC. It is located in a 2,4GHz radio frequency receiver, maybe the IC is some kind of low noise amplifier, but I'm not sure about it. It has 5-pin, see

170 degrees Celsius) and regular FR4 materials. I am trying to see if we can use table 5 on page 14, "Recommended Equivalent Total Floor Life (Days)" to find out how long (at specific humidity and temperature) our populated and unpopulated PCB's can

Universal GSM and 0402/0201 Placement

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 16 15:46:07 EST 2015 | comatose

We did 0402s for years on a GSM. Is this a flexjet or a 4 spindle head? A flexjet is easy with 0402s. The four spindle nozzles are big, you run into issues with knocking already places parts and having to Z zone carefully (and beware repair cycles.)

Universal GSM and 0402/0201 Placement

I doubt you will be able to get satisfactory results with 0201. 0402 is another story. When doing 0402 projects, we use only electric (MP) feeders and always at the same feeder slots (feeder teach done for each of them). MPF08 nozzle works fine. Also

We have a board that has an RF shield on one side and ceramic capacitors on the other side. The side with the capacitors is reflowed first, then the other side is reflowed. We have been experiencing cracked capacitors in these boards. My guess is tha

Tensile (?) Strength of PCB SMT pad

Electronics Forum | Mon Feb 16 11:30:10 EST 2015 | clydestrum

Could anyone point me in the direction of finding out how much strength an SMT pad has in relation to being pulled away from the substrate/laminate? We are in process of trying to build a 6mil thick board and want to know if a chip can be placed onto
