Is anyone out there dispensing no-lead paste with a machine? If so, please give me some feedback- do you see any difference in performance vs. lead content paste? What type of valve/pump are you using. Thx in advance.

Look at a company called ARTX, Ltd. (artxltd.com) or Exair (exair.com) They make air knives that ionize shop air for this purpose.

There are some fairly painless bare board fabrication methods that you can do in-house. Their main benefit is speed of respnse and schedule control. Profitability would depend on loading, marketing, and stuff like that.

James: So, why don't you clean your no-clean? At least then you stand a chance of doing class 2 and class 3 work.

Good note about in Line washers. Can you tell me a little more about the Wave machines, may be what models did you worked on, and what you liked or did not like about them. Thanks, Tim

Check with your state EPA on disposal of lead contaminated equipment. Or, your local Sanford & Son can handle it.

Anybody using Smart Sonic model 6000 stencil cleaner? We're looking to try one out on the production floor, but I figured I'd see if any one was using it and had horror stories or rave reviews.

Garth, Try searching on "capacity planning." This is a standard tool available in most MRP and ERP software packages. You may already own it in whatever software package you use for your material planning. Steve

Try http://www.mfgcatalyst.com Vey inexpensive and easy to use. Small company MRP system with shop floor functions. We use it for the shop floor portion. It was much easier to implement than our $100,000 MRP systems.

Hi I understand your carefullness due to bias, yet I am interested. What do you see as the best benefits of the solution you need to be biassed to, or are biassed towards. You don't have to give the detractors. YiEng, MA/NY DDave
