MPM AP25Hie Pre Board Stop error

Electronics Forum | Sat Aug 04 08:09:03 EDT 2007 | rich7799

I found the problem... the vx cable trunking was the wrong radius, so when the axis was moving at slower speeds to read pre stop position, the axis was not reading the platen correctly due to extra downward force.. Ive now replaced the trunking and

When to trash the solder paste

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 03 14:44:36 EDT 2007 | rpadilla

Depends on the manufacturer of the paste... Rosin-based-flux solder paste usually takes 12-24hr's to fully oxidize with open containers. Water-based flux usually is 3-12hr's, but some have a 24hr open container shelf life... However, uncertain unt

wave soldering two times

Electronics Forum | Sat Aug 04 03:39:39 EDT 2007 | ahdo

Good day, can i seek an advice regarding wave soldering. Will it be advisable to reload the board two times to improve its barrel fill volume? If yes, what is the maximum number of times we can repeat wave soldering on the same board. If no, what

Wow. Never have, never would, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be done. Mostly it just seems impossible to design a carrier clip that could hold both well...more likely it would hold one well and the other poorly, or both poorly. Anyway, is there

Solder Balls and Humidity

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 24 11:03:15 EDT 2007 | hussman

I agree with Joris. But to add to his comment, the type of finish also has a direct affect to your wave solder process. Going from a gloss finish to a matte finish may help a lot. As for humidity affecting your wave - I doubt it. I use a water

How long does it tkae for Tin-Lead solder to rust if put outside

Electronics Forum | Wed Oct 03 17:36:38 EDT 2007 | slthomas

The simple answer is probably a lot longer than it'll take for it to short circuit due to moisture of some sort bridging two conductors. I say moisture of some sort because it doesn't necessarily have to be liquid water. A slug will do nicely.
