When choosing materials, do you specify your thermal PCB needs? For instance, are you specifying temperature or are you selecting materials by brand name?

Define "good price". Throw out a number. Good price - One feeder around $2,000.00 & under if possible would help very much. -Aortiz

I'd be more concerned with the pcb itself then I would be with standard SMT components. Are you using a PCB with a high Tg? (170 degrees C or greater)

We're just now getting into 0201s and I'm wondering how people are doing rework. Is hand soldering still viable or is some type of semi-automated repair station needed?

We use precision tweezers to rework 0402 (OKI MFR-PTZ) not tried with 0201, but it may be a solution. The tweezers themselves have the heating element built in.

Thanks Rob. We are getting very high pricing from Aegis. Have you heard of Prontoplace by Unisoft? They had an advertisement on the smtnet website so we are doing a web demo on Thurs.

Also check with the Valor guys they support Mydata from simple outputs to full optimisation/part generation etc. But if your budget limited then maybe not best fit...but best to chat to them and see if can squeeze abit !!!

Many thanks for the reply. However, surely because it's under 100 degrees, the moisture won't actually reach boiling point. Is this ok?
