Too much flux will spatter and can leave balls on either side. From your pix you may too little flux. Try turning up and see. Also try hand applying your alcohol based flux and running through. Will take away a few question marks.

Silver saver paper will work as well. Most board houses slip a sheet between your boards when they send them to you. Keep this paper with the boards and keep them sealed if possible.

One oven can run both, but your profiles may vary. You will not contaminate your lead-free by running it behind the leaded stuff. Even if you spell "native" as "native".

We currently own an elderly electrovert wave soldering machine. Does anyone know or have access to the up / maintenance manuals for the machine? If so, do they know where I could get hold of a copy? Best Wishes, Richard Jones

Try tinning a few parts by hand and place them into the paste and reflow. If they solder fine then, you have a plating problem. Common sense goes a long way.....

Thanks Pete yes we usu ROHS solder paste in our process. I agree that this termination is more suitable for adhsive bonding rather than soldering. We'll try changing the termination type as you recommended. Eyal G

Hey, I've been working with various Universal Gold Feeders sizes, and I've seeing that the sensors are fairly fragile. Any other users of these feeders seeing this? Of course the manufacturer says we are the only ones seeing these issues.

Well first 6 out of 180 were right and acceptable RTI result was supplied too late, I was busy on inspection and the technician was out of RTI station. I have deatiled data sheet (17 pages) with all facts and figures, will I forward it to you?
