Hello All, Does anyone have any experience with soldering to vapor deposited metallizations such as gold? Or, does anyone know of any papers discussing soldering to vapor deposited metals? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Glenn

Are you talking 0.02" (1.225mm) if so then no it's not a great idea. if you must wave it can you go to a PLCC and through hole socket it on the other side of the board?

PCB is 12.25" x 4". There are large MOSFETS on the board. Two large Electrolytic Caps. Two Large Multi-Layer Ceramic Caps. 15 C Size Tantalym Caps. A fair number of IC's, (SO-8's, SO-16's). No BGA's or finepitch of any kind. The board is double sided

Try checking your Z height and also make sure that they are cleaned regularly. If the Z height is off your will be pressing your nozzles into the holders thereby causing them to bind up inside the holder. Replace the springs periodically since they d

Currently we are having an issue with our current PCB routing cutters in 0.125". It has come to our attention that the vendor has set the mean diameter to be .1235" +/-.001". As such, we recieve a number of cutters in the .1225 realm. This has caused
