If you allow 3 seconds for insertion of each connector and 2-3 seconds for each solder joint, then add a 10-12% contingency allowance you shouldn't be far out. Maybe get an averagely rated operator to build one on the clock. Regards, Chris

Sure those products and other competitors listed in the fine SMTnet Archives provide a uniform solder deposit, how do you suggest that Russ provide the proper amount of flux and heat to properly form his solder connection?

I have often questioned the value of static dissipative coats or smocks. If we have an ESD floor, and are wearing ESD shoes or straps and are using wrist ground straps, what value is there in ESD coats/smocks?????????

Yeah, we do have wrist straps, heel straps, ESD wax, and grounded ESD mats on all work benches. One guy with long fly-away hair was actually told to wear his hair pinned back as well - so started to wear a ball cap... Genny.

You gotta include a Tesla coil and Jacobs ladder somehow. It would give some awesome visual.

Can you be a little more specific? The part description doesn't sound familiar. Rob

This may be the part that Dave's talking about http://www.bce.it/Jst/eflz.pdf Why can't people use good ol' Cannon circular connectors.
