Because our method for providing power to the stick feeders is clunky and temporary and with FES carts we want it out of the high traffic area.

Yeah, we've tried that and keep getting an error stating that an impossible location has been specified (can't remember the actually wording). Right now we just move them to the back and change the feeder assignments but it definitely hoses up the op

I would like to know, if the solder paste for SMT is unpacked (the syringe is opened) and is stocked at room temperature, then when I should trash it. After 12 hours/24 hours exposure? Or any other suggested time? Thanks.

Hi Roy, Depends onmany factors. Your plants environment, the ype of paste, the size of the syringe, your smallest aperture you want to release too, type of screen printer, etc... Your best bet is to perform a DOE and see for yourself.

Anyone of you tested your boards in high power reliability test? I am just wondering whether there is any test procedure / standard for a board undergo high power (current / voltage) testing, and also which solder alloy you have tested with good comm

General soldering question not related to SMT. Is it OK to solder a wire to a brass terminal? It seems OK but I'm unsure about the long term reliability. Application is a high reliability electronic utility meter. Thanks Steve
