Sure those products and other competitors listed in the fine SMTnet Archives provide a uniform solder deposit, how do you suggest that Russ provide the proper amount of flux and heat to properly form his solder connection?

Why would there be a need for such a standard? And who would produce such a standard? Thoughts are: * Why not call the BIG dogs in contacting [ie, Solectron, Flextronics, SCI, etc.] and ask them for copies of their T&C documents and mash them toge

I have documentation from many companies on a hand lotion that passes all of the critical tests required in handling of PCB's. If you wish I could copy or have the manufacturer send this information your way. Steve

Yo, Hussman69, you are one scary dude... in fact you remind me of that catbert... as an add-on, "metcal" has a good semi-auto BGA rework system and their engineering support is strong. then again, our engineers shd be optimizing the production lin

'Flash' is too thin to bear the traffic of most wear surfaces like Jake is talking about. Follow-up with the fretting corrosion discussion over on the current [Jim Zanolli / Teka] OnBoard forum.

I meant to include this in the original message. One, the solder balls are on the circuit side of PCB. Two, some of the vias on both top and bottom are closed and some are not. Is this a process problem with the board house(s)?
