In order to clean the clutches properly, you must disassemble them. Did you do that ? The nozzle holder sensor dogs must be clean and scratch free.

If I had a choice I would choose a CP642 90% of the time. The loading system on the 643 can load 2 PCBs at the same time but is complicated. If 2 seconds on PCB load time is critical on your production choose the 643, if not, choose the 642.

Just found my notebook from the late 90's, 643 confirmed 0201 from the factory, 642 needed the upgraded camera from the 643.
