Take a look at your profile. Early on in the development of our leadfree process we saw excessive voids on BGA'S. We tweeked our reflow profile and were able to bring our voids down to about 9% or less. Also found that some paste mfgs. worked better

Muarty, Just to let you know. There is a big time rumor of another rules based system manufacture getting out of the business. I haven't been able to confirm it yet.

We have never been able to get our IP3 to place BGA's consistently. We installed new bulbs,ran glass plate calibration,played with scan speeds, scan area etc. etc.... I would not recommend this machine for BGA's

have you try to change the stencil apertures to another figure like the one that look like a baseball home? I was having that problem and some solder beads and with that I was able to decrease the tombstones

You should be able to use the wave solder flux that you currently use in your routine operations. Check with your flux supplier for recommendations.

If the sensor can survive the 200C in the molding machine, then could it not survive Pb-free soldering? Maybe not convection reflow, but it should be able to survive vapor-phase reflow. I would control solder height by controlling the amount of paste

Thank you very much SWAG that password did the trick. Got us into the calibration menu and we were able to calibrate the z-axis and snugger height and got it to work. Thanks again
