Stefen- When looking at it from your perspective only it makes no sense to off-shore. The machines and operators are but a small part that goes into the decision to move overseas. The bigger picture is the fact the "entire" operation gets outsourced.

The hasl joint looks fuller (and is easier to inspect)because it has more solder volume. Think about it. Your pre-plating your board with solder (before you add more solder). I doubt your getting 0.3 mils of hasl.....probably more like 1.3 to 3.0

Hi, Yes MYDATA vibration feeders are a nightmare, but you might want to check the feeder. We had one that would vary a lot, and it never seemed to be able to be set to the right vibration level for consistent feeding. It turned out to have a problem
