hi Folk's, Ok so I'm looking for some thoughts on Conductive Epoxy's. I'm trying to replace a material that i can place between a QFP and the PCB to transfer heat from the component to the PCB. The material has to be able to be injected thro' a hole

We have purchased 2 and will be implementing them in our line shortly. We have one for component inspection and one for paste inspection. We are planning on starting with it "dummed down" and then adding more variables and tightening our criteria a

Hany: I have never understood why the add-on boards in PCs have gold plating on their connectors. In the military and in avionics, they require gold on connectors to protect from wear and corrosion. But PCs ave very different. PCs: * Are obsolet

Robert, SMTnet web email is not POP3 and we don't have any plans to move to POP3. Although we were planning to add a "forwarding" feature. With that feature turned on, any mail sent to your smtnet account would be forwarded to your POP account (or a

Yes, you can place BGA's with your GSM using that software. However, I don't know how critical you want to be when reading the bumps, if you want to read them at all. I did an experiment once using the same BGA, using both bump process A and E . E

All of the information so far has been great, I would like to add one more thing to the puzzle. We have utilized a "homeplate" aperture on the stencil when the pad geometry or PCB design prohibits all of the above mentioned remedies. The hompeplat

KA, Joshua makes a good point. A wave solder fixture will allow you to process your double-sided boards without having to add the epoxy step. The one time fixed cost of a fixture is quickly offset by the time that you save by not gluing your SMT.

Hi Steve, the "framepiece" I mentioned may be misunderstanding but sometimes I dont know the common english expression. What I meant is if the PCBs do not come in panels (now you mentioned 3-up panel)the PCB supplier could add additional material to

If you are talking about reflowing surfacemount on the solder side of the assembly, that is accomplished by gluing the smt components to the bottom of the board. I recomend that you use a chip wave in conjuction with the normal wave to get the best r

Mark, A challenge for sure. I suggest you review two techniques for this type of rework\modification. The first method uses a special circuit track run out from under the BGA. See: Jumper Wires, BGA Components, Circuit, Track Method at http://www
