I think stencil manufacturers back fill half etched fiducials with black epoxy or something. I know I've had some worn and that's what I've done for my vision systems to be happy again.

Ok thanks for you help. I am up and running again. I had thought about the upgrade, but it would never pay off in my little garage operation.

I would start with checking the flux amount and trace and the thermal profile(preheating is important) for this assembly. Then I would consider changing to another flux and run it again.

By chance do you know anything about how to fix them when they fail to feed? They are dropping quick and we haven't been able to successfully fix them without them failing again. Thanks, Andrew

the first and last zones heat up just fine the middle just cools down. The only way I can get it to start up again is to open the oven and let it cool down to room temp. about 25C. says heaters are on oven not ready.

Whats the best way to joint a broken conveyor drive belt? Ive tried a rubber glue which lasts for a short time and tried touching both sides to an iron tip and then holding together, again with poor results.

That's a reasonable question for a supplier to ask his / her customer. It depends ... It depends on the materials use in the process the assembly and the reflow temperature recipe
