Yes we had the same problems with Flexa and our AIMEX 3. Fuji techs came in and upgraded all our software to version 126.96.36.199. This solved almost all the communication problems between server and client computers.

I have Flexa with the circuitcam interface. Works great for importing cad file into circuitcam and then exporting program into Flexa. I don't use the documentaton side of circuitcam much.

Some Customers normally don't share CAD data in order not to copy the design. What you can do is use the Pick and Place file then plot to the pcb paste/silkscreen layer of the gerber using software. Not sure if your universal machine can load a gerb

I have also been using Flexa with the Circuitcam interface. Very easy application to use. The documentation package is very nice also if you plan on using it for visual aids.
