The water soluble flux residue is staying there because the rinsing temperature it may be too low. The flux needs about 130-140 degrees celcius to become soft. If you are using water soluble flux, as per IPC A 610 standards it needs to be remove comp

celsius or fahrenheit? I am not entirely familiar with the deeper details of HASL, but 130F-140F is adequate to clean many of the water-soluble fluxes used for component soldering.

Not to mention the couple hunnert they save by NOT getting an air ride truck to ship a new inline printer. You'd be amazed at what an E5 can do to a pallet in 3000 miles. I can't believe the thing worked.

Try using a solder like S03X7C from Koki, which uses cobalt to prolong the tip life & also a wire wool type dry wipe instead of a wet sponge.

I would have to agree with Pete. I have worked with Panasonic, Create, Mydata and Juki. Juki has been the easiest to work with. They actually installed and had the machines running production within a day.
