Interesting... where are you based? I am in the UK. What types of components benefit from having a 2.6mil over a 1mil?

I'm looking to find Maintenance and troubleshooting training on the Takaya 9401. We have been using Texmac for service but their prices are outrageous. Anyone know where to get the calibration test board for this unit? Thanks.

Hi If I have an assembly where the solder joints are suffering from blowholes and Pinholes. Could these solderjoints be reworked/touched up to form a reliable/acceptable solderjoints ?

As Rob says, blowholes and pinholes are process indicators. Reworking them most likely makes the solder connection less reliable, because it is very difficult to heat the solder connection properly. Shrewd rework-types "paint" solder over these open

That's a good idea. We did pull the bridge piece off of one just to see what happens with the receptacles only, so no flux blockage. They flowed great with no blowholes, but also filled with solder. :/
