Interesting. I'd start with the "Help Desk" at the Reliability Analysis Center [http://rac.iitri.org/]. Please get back with your findings.

BGA rework

Electronics Forum | Mon Mar 19 11:32:06 EST 2001 | Steve

Have you done any analysis on the failed rework? There could be any one of several reasons, i.e. bad alignment, wrong reflow profile, bad pad plating, etc. More information will help us help you.

Cleaning no-clean residue

Electronics Forum | Tue Apr 17 12:39:29 EDT 2001 | davef

Continuing with Steve's comments, the true measure of whether or not residues [NC or not] are good or bad is found in the results of an laboratory analysis of the residues and an assessment of the impact of that level of residue.

Thermal Conductivity Of Copper

Electronics Forum | Mon Dec 18 17:56:26 EST 2000 | Dave F

Does the thermal conductivity of a copper trace on a printed circuit board change as the copper oxidizes? Is the oxide on copper a thermal insulator? If so, should it be considered in an analysis of thermal resitivity between a ground plane and a h
