Local fiducial spacing...

Electronics Forum | Fri Jun 10 14:22:53 EDT 2005 | pr

Are the local fids. necessary? Anyway, I can't think of any reason the local fids. would have to be spaced exactly the same distance from the part. We place BGA's and QFP's using board fids, and have yet to find a problem that local fids helped fix.

Local fiducial spacing...

I guess, since nobody is using local fiducials anymore, we forgot how to program the fiducials. Was it in the component-package file or in the placement file? Nevertheless, once you find the place, where you enter the fiducial position, you'll find t

You didn't state if you are using all CAD data or not. If you are not using any CAD data then all bets are off. If you global fid XY data and all your placement XY data are all from CAD data, but you are manually teaching your local fids, then they

WIP tracking

Electronics Forum | Tue Jun 14 18:33:48 EDT 2005 | slthomas

Any tried and true methods for tracking WIP with a paper system? A good white paper on the subject or even a decent book reference that covers the topic would be great. It's really never been done here before and beyond establishing time standards a

We have had some experience with the immersion tin. The appearance can be "bright" or "dull". Don't discount the fact that it is "bright" doesn't necessarily make it HASL. Furthermore, I personally have never heard of a board manufacturer "stripping

Poor Solderability on TSOPs with Alloy 42 Leadframes

Several years ago, we had almost same pbm, best results have been obtained by using water soluble paste (those time the old AM1208). Any way, to get a good toe meniscus is not so easy. Talking about CTE, keep in consideration the internal die of TSO
