SERA testing is the solution. Try it. http://www.suite101.com/content/circuit-board-design-diagram-and-assembly-a249751

Batch cleaner

Electronics Forum | Tue Sep 07 12:57:00 EDT 2010 | jrr3434

Thanks for the info mike. How well do these batch cleaners work with densely populated through hole boards that were solder with no clean flux? Is there a problem with water getting trapped under large capacitors? I'm using kester 959t for flux on b

waterman wave soldering 7lines vs.5 lines

Hi, does anyone has any experience waht so ever with waterman wave soldering with 7 lines of holes? We are now planning to take our assembly line to waterman 7 lines, instead of 5.

Yes, they should be baked prior. We pre-bake all polyimide fabs, flex or not. They are prone to delam.

Good Afternoon, How is the stiffener adheared? If it is laminated to the flex, it may help you with the surface planarity through reflow. If it put on with PSA, it may cause more problems then it would solve. PSA gets soft through the reflow. It may

Were doing double sided, and I'm told our PCB finish is tin silver. From a quick search I'm finding that for double sided assemblies we would be better off using ENIG.

PCB Solderability

We aren't able to quote you chapter and verse, but J-001 says that you have to verify the solderability of parts prior to assembly.

Yes, we use solder paste, solder bar and solder wire from different manufactureres for 1PCB assembly. And, what JAX said, we never mixed solder paste from different manufactures and used.
