Our machine is YAMAHA YVL88II and the issues we have with these data switches are either not being picked up from the feeder at all or are being ped before assembly.

But the boards and parts on the boards are also hygroscopic(no not a typo I did a search on hydroscopic and it is not a word the actual word is hygroscopic look it up if you don't believe me) so if you have two hygroscopic materials which one wins?

Can someone clarify whether IPC-TM-650 Test Method 2.6.27 (Thermal Stress, Convection Reflow Assembly Simultation) is required for all bare board fabricators? Or is this test method optional, depending on the type or class of boards being fabricated

Is it possible that the assembler is using solder wire that's too small for the application and feeding it too quickly to compensate?
