What does a section of the through hole look like? Is you fab using a dull drill and plating over the fibers? Good luck

Being its sudden and only 1 product I would suspect the PCB particularly the barrels in the plated through holes being contaminated.

Dream: Yes, VIA's are connected to actual SMD pads via traces - roughly .030" from the pad. The VIA is .013" in diameter, and the excess solder bleeds out of the actual VIA barrel after the 1st reflow.... -CK

Hi Ashok, Is there any rework process on those assembl./PWB ..if yes --what kind of tools are your operators using now ...brush? spudger? cloths (is it lint free?) ect. I hope you are not talking about nodules in the hole barrel. Regards Kc.

Is anyone familiar with assembly procedures for the AMP straddle mount Mictor connector? If so are there any suggestions to solve difficulty in slitting through the ground pin PTH barrels and applying paste as reccommended?

Hi, Try to check if there is water absorbed in the flux or the humidity around the wave area. possibly plating on barrels that might be damaged?

You most likely have a raw fab problem, These PCBs need to be baked. We have this same thing now and then (only from one supplier) and baking has helped. I hope this is what your problem is. Russ

Russ, I feel a little better now.... Baking specs...... Can you give me a tip on where to look? It's a 4 layer, .062 and roughly 5 inches square. Thanks.

Its been my experience that a "dot" of glue on the center of the part is needed for "barrel" type components.

Hello, Some questions.... Are you running lead free? What alloy? Whats your pot temp at? Temp of the board after preheat? Are you getting any solder in the barrels (
