Hello all, I am having soldering issues with an Everlight component it is a TM4201/TR2 (Right angle IRDA with a 1mm pitch). The problem I have is that after reflow the solder joints look perfect, but during test we are losing 7 micro amps as soon as

Diamond/sqaure shapes are good for when you X-Ray the BGA as stated above. The only problem is if you you over print too much, you can get solder beading. I recommend round pads to avoid the beading and use X-Ray to make sure you reflow correctly.

Is this a single sided or double sided board? We run the first side flat on the oven belt this keeps the board flat for the second side assembly. If the board warps during the second reflow process we will make a support fixture to carry the PCBA

Although water soluble (OA) flux is technically the easiest flux to remove, it is also the most damaging type of flux if not removed. A dishwasher lacks the pressure and nozzle design to produce the very small water particle size required for thorou

Dear All, We plan to setup an assembly line for our small volume production of PCBs (about couple hundred PCBs per week). The board has about 150 components (less than 30 types) and a few BGA and IC (majority is SMT, only few THT connectors). We hav

Hi, Expert, Currently, I'm facing a very critical problem on my HAL leadfree finishing PCBs at my customer end. We run the HAL leadfree (Tin, cu and ni) board by using HAL leadfree machine (temperature about 270 deg.C) and go for normal water post c

Hi It's me again. Our products need to pass a chamber test 45c/36hrs after the PCBA completed batch of functional tests and assemble in to case. We found 1 unit was functioning for 24hours in the chamber, but hang after that. We tried to re-boot the

There are lots of examples of changing a parameter in one direction to fix one issue causes a different problem. Once I asked a layout engineer to adjust thermal relief for through hole parts. First he said ok but a day later he said that he couldn't
