I agree. The silkscreen will cause a gasketing issue with the stencil.

You can try strip it with Chemically (like Acetone) or micro-blasting.

I see that you basically closed the issue, but I'll just say that if you are using OFFSETS to get stencil alignment, your set up is wrong. Unless you KNOW that the board house added the fiducial incorrectly or something, you should be able to get go

As you can see from the replies, lighting/displays is the big one, it's also the example customer sales will use when they are offering machines that can handle large boards. We manufacture large boards occasionally and they are typically backplane

We also just join multiple boards via connectors.

We do this often on smaller boards. More than saving money it reduces the storage space.

Machine a clamp into or from the FR4. to Tension the boards into place
