The large copper pours in the vacinity of this part make it essential that you get your thermal recipe correct. You may need to slow down your conveyor [decrease the ramp rates] in order to minimize the effect of the board has on the different heati

Part clearances in PCB design

Does anyone know there a standard matrix of clearances part to part for Class 2 and Class 3 board design. IPC does issue a preferred matrix but they are so liberal they not so useful in the real world. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Reflow profile basics

Q1: What are the basic requirements of thermal profiling? A1: Not sure what youre looking for here, but when doing a profile, youre trying to measure the temperature at specific points of the board, as the board moves through the oven. Q2: How we

Has anyone experienced problems lately with excess flux residue left on the board after reflow when using Alpha UP78 OSP paste? We are getting a component failure that the designers are blaming on too much residue. Thanks

Does your machine have pattern recognition, so you can program a corner of a trace, or some other unique feature of the board?
