Why use magnets? I found a KS project of a pcb prototyping machine that uses vacuum for PnP. Here is a video https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/botfactory/squink-the-personal-electronic-circuit-factory/posts/929661

Does anyone have any experience with using padded static bags to minimize damage to boards during handling and storage? Does anyone recommend a specific brand or type?

We buy padded bags from ULINE. They work well and are self sealing also, we reuse so we don't seal them. They come in a wide array of sizes as well.

I think what you are asking for is called First Pass Yield and for us that is in the upper 90s. It will depend on the board complexity and quantity - makes big difference if you run 10pcs or a 10000pcs. Regards, Emil

Hi, If you are working in high mix low volume, your machine time is very expansive. In this case you must rely on the programmer, people experience, and make preparations offline (like Setup etc.), so do not hold the line in vain. Best Regards, Ale

Can anyone recommend a top notch filter to remove oil from the compressed air lines. The filter will be placed before the machine. We have traps that catch .01 micron oil in the airline but it is still getting through to the machine. Thanks, Bob

I am seeing a similar problem. We are using Orbotech AOI. I am trying to find a way to make the light source brighter.

Please us OK/NG light. This is advace light.Especially when there are 402 black resistors and they are on dark green or balck pcb, this ligt is perfect. But, this is optional thing. You must contact with local distributor to activate this ligt.
