I agree with Pat. We specify matte finish on all our boards. Once in a while our QC Dept lets in some glossy finishes in and then do their victory dance at the wave chanting "Wut ya gunna do about!?! Wut ya gunna do? Process outta control! Giggi

if two boards with different solder masks give different results on flux residue level after soldering with the exact same machine settings than it is clear that one of the solder masks is not compatible with your no-clean flux. could be the solder m

We have an immersion silver board that has a brown discoloration after processing. It's not flux residue, that normally doesn't cause this condition. Elemental analysis shows less than 1% sulfur, and I thought silver sulfide is more a black color.

Colorization is relatively uniform across the board. "Processing" is first pass reflow. I belive MacDermid is the ImmAg supplier. Plating thickness has not been determined, our XRF is being revitalized. Elemental analysis did show a large copper

I have an excess TR1000 available. Bought it from Cencorp for a project 8 years ago and we changed the boards to break outs soon after. Engineering kept it around, thinking it was nice to have "just in case". It was in perfect condition 8yrs ago.

Good luck with that one. We just had a hard drive crash in one of our TRS ovens. We had to upgrade to wincon software which = 1500.00 and then we had to pay a 450.00 service fee so they would talk to us. BTW...the $450.00 service fee only gets you 1
