I am looking for an industry standard stock note to place on our printed circuit board assembly drawings that will capture a level of cleanliness for an IPC-A-610 class 2 board assembly. Im looking for some quantitative spec for cleanliness that w

All, I have a problem on a new device that we have on a new product. It is a LLP (Leadless Leadframe Package) if you search in google "sda16a" you can see one. I am finding it next to impossible to consistently achieve a good visible solder fillet

Fastek will get it done with 2 machine and 2 shifts. 2 shifts would need to place 50,000cph. One CP643 with both device tables set could get it done. Having it panelized in 50's, you would need to print 50 panels a hour so get a auto cleaner on the p

I assumed a conservative 25,000 cph for each of the chipshooters...whether it's an MV2F, CP-6, CP-642 etc. You're not going to get 50,000 cph out of (1) CP-643. You might for short periods but not in the long run. It would be suicide to rely on one

Hey Peter, Did some simple math... 800.000PCB's x 20cmp = 1.6million placements 8hrs/day * 22 days/month = 176 hrs You're looking at over 90kCph fulltime! I'd say go with an AX-5 as JAX suggested. Given the product you described you could reach s

Hi All, I'm new in PCBA process. Recently in my leadfree production we encountered a missing ring on some of the ring on the board after we ran hem through Wave soldering machine. The board has gone through double reflow prior to the Wave soldering.

If the OSP boards have gone through double reflow I assume that you use an aggressive (halide) flux for wave soldering. SAC 305 is known (search the archives) to dissolve copper faster than other lead-free alloys. This together with an aggressive flu

Hi Everyone, I searched and found some old comments about the Novastar machines. I was wondering if anyone has purchased a newer one and used it for Lead Free? If so what do you think? We currently run 2 Technical Device machines (leaded) and hav

About a year ago we switched from another vender to Kester 256HA paste. As we've switched assemblies from the old paste to our Kester paste, we've seen a need to increase the frequency of our oven cleanings. It has been very noticeable. After only

Just thought of something while on the beach. We made a paste change several years ago when we installed another surface mount line. At around that same time, our maint. crew changed chain oil and about 2 months later changed when they oiled the ch
