Esec Micron2 vs. RD Automation CDB-50

Electronics Forum | Fri Dec 10 18:02:45 EST 2004 | Sam El.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with either the Esec Micron 2 or the RD Automation CDB-50? We currently have a Micron 2 (1997 build). We are using it for small batches of flip chip. We use the waffle pack feeder not the wafer loader.

MYDATA Myspeed software is total junk

Grant, I just have one question. Why would you go from a Mydata machine to a Fuji XP? You seem to be sacrificing component range for raw chip output. Wouldn't one of the multi-function machines (0201 - 45mm with similar speed) on the marketplace

Conformal Coating BGA's

Electronics Forum | Wed Jan 12 10:15:43 EST 2005 | davef

We conformal coat our boards and get pretty good coverage along the edges of BGA. If you need coverage along the edges and are not getting it, your supplier may be able to recommend a different material or application method. Most often, underfill

When to Underfil CSP and uBGA ?

There's a fair amount of information on underfilling CSP and flip chip in the web. Look here to get started: * http://www.asymtek.com/news/articles/2002_globaltronics_csp_and_fcuf.pdf * http://www.smta.org/knowledge/proceedings_abstract.cfm?PROC_ID

Fine pitch & PCB finish

Another thing : Make sure that there are no other mags plugged into the machine while you are trying to trouble shoot slot 3. I have seen shorted vibratory ID chips mess up other magazines up in different slots. For instance : a shorted vibe in slo

Wave Solder Non wetting holes

Is it possible your board is warping and skip plating? Have you run a lev-check? What does your contact patch look like? Do you have ice cikles (spelling???) or solder "flags". IF yes, your flux is consumed or nonexistant. What is your dwell time

Hi, Actually the sales guy from Fuji recommended to us XP because of the speed and feeder load. We get 100 feeder positions per chip shooter, so that's nice, plus they are CP feeders, so there is a lot of second hand feeders. I saw the NXT in Taiw
