This is a snip from an ealier post here on SMTnet. Generally, solder pastes are comprised of: 90% solder powder, 5% flux, 4% solvents, and 1% activators [by weight]. Where: * Solder powder, when reflowed, is a metal bonding agent that mechanically

I am curious as to why you need to mix.... We use a 500g cartridge with air gun. Our process is remove the cartridge from the fridge, allow it to warm up to room temperature before inserting into air gun, then apply bead of paste to the stencil. N

Our products are a mixed technology; with both surface mount components solder side and through-hole top side, in addition to massive heat sink assemblies. We have been using your SN100C solder in our wave solder process with Multicore MFR301 Flux si

Process Flux is AIM 275. Tip tinning flux is Superior 75. We have gotten dual nozzles in the 6mm & 9mm sizes we run. We can get a nozzle to run about 8 hours. Every night we clean all used nozzles with a scouring pad, apply Superior 75 flux with

I have seen that moisture in pcbs will cause mid chip solder balls. To discount this, take one pcb from a batch that is giving you solder balls and pass it through you reflow oven with no paste or components on (bare pcb)using your normal reflow prof

Cracked parts close to the edge on pizza cutters are a common problem. There are a lot of stresses on the board as the blade cuts through the board. Raising the blade height so that the boards are not cut clean through will help. You will have to fi

Thanks a lot. I`ve been doing a research for existing products as well and yes Teknek is quite helpful. Now I need to do some simulation analysis, collect some data and compare with manual operation in order to proof that this is a good and strong pr

Sounds like you have tried everything I can think of as far as hardware is concerned. One thing that sounds suspicious to me if the error "Failed to create empty document". I have only seen that error when my MMI software got corrupted in the process

We are currently using an ACE K.I.S.S. 104. We used SN100 solder with AIM NC265 flux (no clean, alcohol-based). Also, we use topside preheat at 100 degrees C and a 6mm nozzle (as big as we can go with this application). The PCB has a matte finish as
