i have heard of washable no-cleans for about 6-8 years now. I would think that if SIR values are acceptable for end use then I would run with it. Russ

pretty much menaing Amol, that the balls are stuck to the board by flux and when you wash the flux the balls go away with it. If yopu are running no clean, then there will be no cleaning step and the balls will remain since the flux is basically unt

Steve, We use Heraeus PD 945 and clean with Electrolube SSS. It gives us a good result with both hand and ultrasonic cleaning. Also does a good job on solder paste.

Good morning, Cleaning agent is Vigon SC200. Cleaning is made with spray cleaner FinnSonic SBC-55. BR, Pavel

Thanks Dave. We are UK based which is why we are still allowed to use Trike and our product is for an aerospace application so changing a cleaning chemical is much easier than requalifying a new flux. This was pretty much what I thought my options

SnPb No-Clean. We've done it on bare boards with alcohol and an ultrasonic bath, but that seems very agressive on a half populated board. Thanks John S.
