I believe the Delta T you're referring to is the delta between the highest and lowest thermal mass components on the given assembly when being processed through reflow.

So how much clearance between components (in mm) does the Ersascope require? What if you have caps around (2-3mm from the BGA's edge) a BGA . . . is it necessary to remove them prior to inspection of the BGA?

Does anyone have a listing of recommended usage requirements on SMT components. Can you use SMT resistors which are over 3 years old for example ? Can you use ICs which are not known to be moisture sensitive but which are over 5 years old.
