yes you can use lead-free components and/or lead-free solder paste on Sn/Pb PCBs. You do get reliable joints. as already mentioned, it doesn't meet the WEEE and RoHS requirement. Indy

Clark, Which component type are you using? Deform? also, is this a domed led? and if so, are you using a nozzle with an approriate ID to seal on the body? Not every LED may be able to be placed with a 4791. Todd

What system would you guys recommend as a good rework and repair system in the $10,000-$40,000 range or so? The company I work for is just starting to branch out into working with SMT components.

Just a basic suggestion.... Inspect the nozzle placing the component...because that is the only medium, apart from the PCB design, which can be causing the damage. It occurred in my Department.

Randy, We have a Dek 265GSX and 265 MK1. We print 20thou pitch components, 0.5mm. Just make sure you have good board support and USC. aj
