This is not that unusual. Most manufacturers have a number of optional lead configurations available, including a standoff kink. It is sometimes difficult with low quantities or with a lazy distributor. Get a complete spec catalog for the componen

You may also consider different sizes of, off the shelf, Dry Box. i.e Seika McDray (http://www.seikausa.com/)as an alternative to N2. It is mobile, no N2 hard piping, less operating expence and actually can remove moisture while storing. good luck!

We got PLCC 68 components on our new products and we are not sure on what feeder pitch we are going to use for the said part as we do not have 44mm feeders. Can anyone there help me what feeders are they using for the said parts so we won't end up bu

Gary: I agree with P that 44x24mm is more common, but yano, every single time I buy a fixed pitch feeder trying to get heads-up on an assembly requirement, it ends-up being the wrong pitch. Is it possible that your future component supplier might b

Please give some suggestions on removing RFI / RF shields ... PTH Shields: Removing PTH RFI / RF shields is as straight forward as the next PTH component. Small SMT Shields: Removing small SMT RFI / RF shields is fairly straight forward, providin

Dave, George I think we're missing something here, or at least I am. While the plastic in question could possibly be dissipative or non generating, I'm wondering how thick such a stencil would be to clear even the lowest profile PTH component? Can w

John, Dave. The adhesive deposition is on the second pass through the SMT area, the PTH components have previously been fitted during the axial / radial stages of manufacture. The stencil is 2mm thick with a 1.5 mm routing depth. the leads (cut & cl

JAX, I want to eliminate as much of the confusion up front. If I can point all the folks involved in the design and manufacture to a single source for component descriptions, be it a TI data book, IPC or JEDEC standard, or some other source, I think

Hello, We have had some problems with electrical testing of molded electrolytic and tant caps on our Mydata machines. It appears that the components will test backwards on a polarized cap test. The Mydata uses the rise time to determine polarity. Doe

Gary: Regular FR-4 will HASS. HASS has largely fallen from favor, because: * Process is difficult to control, so not to strip the life from components * Failures under HASS have nothing to do in use failures. If you insist on continuing with this,
