Alternatives are: * DSCC Columbus continues to maintain the QPL for MIL-I-46058C. [Engineering is unlikely to change.] * Use International Electrotechnical Commission Standard, IEC 61086 - Coatings for loaded printed wire boards (conformal coatings)

Does anyone know of a company that cuts kapton masking to desired shape per Gerber Data for conformal coat masking applications? (Preferably Pacific Northwest Region).

I wonder if anybody could spec a conformal coating or simalar application, to protect PCB's at 90% humidity. Standard HPA from electrolube does not work if the humidity is in excess of 75%. Cheers

Here is the way I have it. Evaluate non-conformances and provide root cause, corrective, and preventative actions to eliminate re-occurence or provide satisfactory screening methods for such..

What is the best/most economical way to check the thickness of conformal coating after being processed. Would a standard height gage do? Thanks in advance...

Amol, i am going to piggy back on your question and ask another one is there any information we can get about conformal coating of lead free solder pastes ( WS shuold be no diferent, but what @ no clean ?)

my 2 cents here --- Even though the boards need not be cleaned after SMT when using no clean flux, you will still have to clean them before conformal coating.....and most solvents used to clean boards before coating will take out the no clean flux re

Hi Amol, We use the PVA system and also conformal coat over no-clean reflow solder as well as no-clean wave. We use a Humiseal coating and thinner.
