Thanks Dave, sounds totally plausible. In answer to Pete B's questions 1. Spot mask IS only being applied to earthing points, top and bottom side. 2. Unsure. Speaking to manufacturer they are telling me it is compatable. However data sheet is vague.

I would suggest trying an acrylic peelable mask. In most cases peelable temporary masks are latex materials. Since you use an acrylic conformal coating it makes sense to use a mask with the same make up to avoid incompatabilities. Link to acrylic mas

Hi all, We have a PCB without any BGAs on it which goes into harsh environment. We therefore conformal coat it. After assembly the PCBs are expected to withstand "85degc/85%RH for 1000 hours" We now want to add a BGA to the PCB. Does any one have

we are worried about the coating not being able to cover underneath the BGA. If the coat is excessive then it would cause CTE issues. Also if anybody has data on 85/85, 1000 hrs after conformal coating of BGA, would appreciate if you guys can share

Morning all, Can anyone recommend a simple low cost method to spray apply conformal coating to our PCB's. Looking for something simple, semi-automatic, and repeatable for operators to use without problems. This is a very low volume application, appro

We are producing boards with Alpha 591S RMA No-Clean paste and are coating after SMC with Dow silicone ( toluene solvent based) conformal coating. We have experienced several failures due to soft shorts ( electrochemical migration?) We have also obse

Wood or Black Light is the common way to call that UV ligth used ie. inside "disco" and used for many applications like to activate the fluorescent particels contained by conformal coating material, adhesives, paper money, etc. Any way ask for TL-08

We are currently masking and dipping. I need to source a selective conformal coating machine. I'm looking for something that's easy to program, accurate, good running costs and all that good stuff, semi-automatic, and repeatable for operators to use

Morning all. So today I have been tasked with conformally coating a few of our first run PCBs for a new product line. The problem is that they have already had all the larger caps potted with RTV. Are there any problems with spraying the CC over the

Well that doesnt sound very promising. What im going to do is make sure these two boards I just coated (with the RTV already cured) will be used in house only. In the future we will do any conformal coating operations before potting with whatever mat
